Dedham is upstream from Flatford and Fenbridge. A very beautiful part of the river valley. The old boat house is very picturesque. River is very clear here and well worth swimming in.

Work. Typically we carry out repairs to the fencing and the footpaths around the area. If we are down by boat house, then working on boat house and revetment there. Most summers we camp here one weekend and have a barbecue.

Directions: Two loactions :- (1) Contable Country. Go to Dedham village. If you come from A12, turn left on entering main street and go down hill. As road bears to left, go straight on down farm track. Park at the end. Footpath to Flatford begins here. (2) Boat house, best to go with some one the first time as this is difficult to find.
